How secure is shopping in the Online Shop? Is my data protected?
We host our website in a world-class hosting environment and take all the necessary precautions to make sure that your information is 100% secure. We don’t sell, share or giveaway any of our contacts nor any other sensitive information.
How long will delivery take?
Within the continental USA, most of the time it takes 5 to 10 days. We sometimes face delays and short-staffed weeks, but we are always trying to improve so we can serve our customers better.
Do you refund confiscated orders?
We are not responsible for packages or products returned, seized or destroyed due to unforeseen customs regulations. As the products we sell are based on Tobacco natural and largely plant based, some may be restricted in your country. It is your final responsibility to ensure that all items in your order are allowed in your country. However, we never leave a customer unsatisfied and solutions will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Do you refund returned orders?
When in transit for extended periods of time, herbs can dry out and lose their value. We do not restock returned products. Because of this, we cannot guarantee to fully refund returned orders. Refunds are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We do not refund shipping costs.
Do you refund lost orders?
We very rarely encounter loss of our packages. When undeliverable, it will always be returned to us. It can take upto 6 weeks from shipping before a package is returned.
What if the delivery is delayed?
Customs or plant inspection authorities may examine your package and delay the delivery. Your postman may attempt to deliver the package, but fail to leave a delivery note. Make sure to read our shipping email for tracking data and further instructions.
Are shipments trackable?
All packages are shipped with Parcel Monitor Mail which means the package is trackable, requires signature, and will be returned to us if undeliverable. So your orders are shipped quickly, securely, and won’t get lost or delivered to the wrong person. After we ship your order, we email you tracking details. It can take up to 48 hours before tracking data becomes visible.
Do you include information in the package?
Your package will contain the products you ordered and in all cases, a selection of free incenses or samples. We do not include any information on the application or purpose of the products. We do not include your invoice, nor any reference to this website. Your package will be discreet, professionally packed and plainly labelled.
Where do you ship from?
We are based in Colombia and have been shipping our products worldwide on a daily basis. We ship our packages with Parcel Monitor Mail.
Do you guarantee the quality of the herbs I order?
We guarantee that our products are fresh, genuine, properly identified and labelled, and conform to common standards. We can not guarantee the effectiveness of the product as pertains to any particular use or purpose. We can not replace products or be held responsible for their effectiveness or lack thereof. Are all your products legal?
Yes, all our products are legal to possess and trade in Colombia. We make no assumption or assertion that any product or information on this website is appropriate or legal outside Colombia. Anyone choosing to access this website is wholly responsible for ensuring our products and information are legal within their own country. None of the products we sell are “psychoactive” or have psychoactive ingredients. Nevertheless, use this website at your own risk.
Why is my Hapé not exactly the same as last time I ordered?
This is a common, and not unreasonable question. Whilst we obtain the same varieties from the same tribes, each new batch that we receive is unique in its character and should be respected as such. The people in the forest do not work with scales, notebooks or precision. The word “standardized” is not in their vocabulary or practice. Therefore, each batch may consist of the same “recipe” and come from the same person, it will always be new. To indicate this, we print the batch number of each Hapé on the package label. New batches are indicated on the product page and restocked page.
How do I pay & which payment options do you accept?
Check out your Order through the online shopping cart, and then make your payment using your preferred payment option. Your payment instructions will also be emailed to you.

PayPal as a payment process at the moment, but you can use your credit card to make a purchase without having to open a PayPal account (Although we highly recommend doing so).
Who are You?
We are ancientjoys.com. Based in Colombia and shipping all our products worldwide. We have the intention to make the rarest shamanic tools available to humanity. We come from a lineage of ethno botanical collectors and providers that we started collecting and researching Rapé. As a result we established ancientjoys.comin 2019, when Rapé was a rare underground commodity, and hardly available online. Now, 3 years onwards we proudly continue to offer our abundant variety of Rapé’s, ashes and Tabaco powders from their original tribal sources in Colombia and Brazil.
What is Hapé?
Hapé is that in which we specialize. Hapè is a shamanic tool that originates from Brazil, Colombia. It’s appearance is of a grey to sand coloured very fine and dry dust. Hapé is used to clear intentions and pave the way for detoxifying the body. It is traditionally prepared by ceremonial pounding of Tabaco with tree ashes, followed by patiently filtering it through a fine mesh. The varieties of Tabaco used are not the commonly known N. tabacum, but the N. rustica, such as “Corda” or “Moi” and in cases also “Mapacho”. The ash components come from the bark of a variety of medicinal or sacred trees. The production and choice of ashes and the exact composition and ratio of ingredients often remain a secret of the tribe. Although there are many traditions and tribes in the Amazon that use Tobacco snuff, Hapé is not sniffed, snorted or inhaled. Instead, Hapé is administered (blown) into the nostrils with a special blowpipe called “Kuripe” (self administration) or “Tepi” (another person administers).
What is Ambil?
Ambil is placed on the tip of the pinky finger, the finger of humility, to be eaten in prayer. According to the Amazonian tradition and the myth of the origin, Ambil is a power plant that allows man to cleanse and heal in order to receive guidance from God and the Spirits.
What is Super Food Mambe?
Pulverized and sifted leaves, also known as mambe, are prepared for a traditional ceremony in the village of Milán in the Colombian Amazon rain forest. The case, which took place in Girona, a small Catalonian city, involved the importation of leaf powder (also known as mambe). In the Andean and Amazonian regions of South America, the leaf is widely used for a variety of ceremonial, medicinal, and nutritional purposes.
What is the use of Hapé?
Hapé is used to clear intentions and pave the way for detoxifying the body. It stimulates the nervous system and therefore enables the body to become more receptive to all levels of communication. Brain blood vessels will be dilated, leading to increased blood circulation and consequently to an increased focus and intuition. A greater universal understanding can be perceived that literally shakes the brain. Although a good blow of Hapé can be quite uncomfortable or even shocking, its process will bring one in a very grounded, mind-free state of being. When should I use hapé? How often? What dosage?
We generally recommend working with hapé twice per day to begin with – once in the morning and once in the evening. However, this depends on each person’s tolerance levels and also their personal situation. If you are going through a particularly stressful and sick period, you may decide to use it more regularly. For some people several times a week is fine, or only during Ayahuasca or other medicine ceremonies.
For others, they may need to work intensively with these medicines to do some very deep work, purging and intensive healing. Please listen to your body, intuition, and the spirit of these sacred medicines – they will guide you, as to what’s best for you personally.
Traditionally, some indigenous Colombian and Brazilian tribes use hapé during Ayahuasca (nixi pae) and Kambo ceremonies; in order to assist with moving any stuck energies or blockages, to help with vomiting and bowel movements, and to intensify your journey. Hapé can be applied before, during, or after other medicine ceremonies too.
Generally, we suggest a pea-sized amount of hapé for both nostrils for beginners, and then increasing the dosage after prolonged use of one type of hapé. However, everyone has naturally difference tolerance levels, so some people may require larger doses, and others smaller doses. Please experiment to see what works for you personally. Also, when using the ‘gentler’ hapés like Imburana, Apurina, Matses, and Crystal Clarity, then you can start with larger doses, if preferred.
Should I spit if I experience lots of Phlegm and Mucous?
Yes, if you have a lot of phlegm or mucous in the back of your throat, dripping down your throat, or in your mouth, then please spit it out in a bucket immediately, as it’s toxic or negative energy that is being released and expelled. You do not want to swallow it back inside.
Do you wholesale your products?
We do not wholesale bulk Hapé. Our tribal sources simply don’t produce Hapé at a large scale. It is our intention that genuine Hapé remains recognised as unique and rare, which we provide for connoisseurs and collectors. We aim to have a section open for resellers this year, where we can offer some of our famous Hapé’s prepacked with their familiar designs, in somewhat larger quantities. We ship from Colombia to USA, Canada, Europe etc.

We offer 2 Types of Tracked Shipping service using Serpost:
EMS Priority (if available to your country) and Certified Tracked.
*EMS Priority = Approx. shipping time = 1-3 Weeks from Colombia to North America and Europe.
*Certified Tracked = Approx. shipping time = 2-8 Weeks from Colombia to North America and Europe.
Please allow for extra 1-2 weeks for deliveries to Middle East, Asia, South Africa, Australia & New Zealand.

After your full payment has been received and cleared, then we will be ready to package and ship out your order.
